William Casey was an Anglican bishop in Ireland during the first half of the Seventeenth century.〔Moody, T. W.; Martin, F. X.; Byrne, F. J., eds. (1984). Formerly Rector of Kilcornan, he was nominated Bishop of Limerick by King Edward VI on 6 July 1551 and consecrated at Dublin on 25 October 1551.〔Fryde, E. B.; Greenway, D. E.; Porter, S. et al., eds. (1986). Handbook of British Chronology (3rd, reprinted 2003 ed.). Cambridge: Cambridge University Press.
